Using real-life case studies, this course effectively illustrates how numerous challenging behaviors may point to specific, underlying medical conditions in people with IDD.Â
Designed for Direct Support Professionals and general staff. It covers the Fatal Five by clearly defining and illustrating what each item is, how to spot them, who is at risk, what to report and when staff should alert their medical manager or send the person to the emergency room.Â
This course is designed for clinicians. It covers each Fatal Five item with greater depth with an eye to precise signs and symptoms and greater stress on health and safety repercussions. It stresses how to train staff on each item and how to help staff act as a set of eyes and ears so that health issues can be reported clearly as they happen.
The message is, “just because you are not a clinician does not mean you cannot clinically advocate for someone.”
The Fatal Five for Case Managers includes the bulk of information from the Fatal Five Fundamentals courses with added direction on how to use this information as a Case Manager. All quizzes and scenarios are geared toward helping a Case Manager understand how they can use this information to increase the health and safety of those they serve.
Created and delivered by a physician for physicians and other clinicians.
These six modules provide physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and physician assistants with pertinent, practical information that can be put to use immediately in their practices to improve outcomes.
Person-Centered Thinking seeks to help supporters keep the person at the center of all supports given while promoting positive control in the life of the person.

This course teaches both direct support staff and clinicians, such as occupational and physical therapists, how to apply the principles of their crafts in a person-centered manner throughout the 24 hours of the day.Â
This course is intended for anyone who supports or plans for those with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
Our interactive eLearns are designed to be hosted on a Learning Management System (LMS).
This is a software application for the administration, documentation, tracking, reporting, automation, and delivery of educational courses. The price of a big-name LMS is sometimes out of reach for a smaller organization.
If your agency does not have access to an LMS, IntellectAbility can provide access to our own for a nominal fee. Contact us for a free preview and price quote of any of our eLearn courses.
