What To Expect with a Virtual HRST Screening

Watch this short video to learn what to expect during a virtual HRST screening.

It is encouraged, but not necessary, for the person to be screened to attend the meeting if they choose.

During the HRST Screening, the Rater will:

  1. Set Expectations

  2. Identify Respondents

  3. Review Diagnoses

  4. Review Medications

  5. Ask Screening Questions

[The Virtual Rating Service] is easy to schedule and do...It is with my highest regards that I recommend this service. [IntellectAbility's] expertise was a great asset that led to my being able to do my required work. Everything was completed on time with the highest level of quality. I hope to continue working with them in the future.”

What is the HRST?

The Health Risk Screening Tool (HRST®) is the leading screening tool for intellectual and developmental disability (IDD) risk management and support.

It is a HIPAA-compliant, web-based screening instrument developed to detect health destabilization in at-risk populations and ensure that proper care and support are provided to avoid unnecessary suffering and death.

The HRST monitors for health risks associated with various intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities, which specifically affect systems of the body and the person’s ability to engage in life. This provides all supporters with the information needed to respond appropriately.

Top Reasons People Don’t “Act Right”

One of the most common reasons people are referred to a healthcare provider is a change in behavior. They may be less alert, more aggressive, not eating, or exhibiting some other difference in their actions. They are often described as “just not acting right.”

Join Dr. Escudé and his guest, Dr. Matt Holder, as they discuss common reasons for changes in a person’s behavior.
