Continuing Education Information:

  • 5 hours of CME credit for physicians
  • 6 Continuing Education Units for nurses

Certificates are automatically delivered at the end of the course upon successful completion of the post-test and survey.

The AAFP has reviewed Curriculum in IDD Healthcare and deemed it acceptable for up to 5.00 Enduring Materials, Self-Study AAFP Prescribed credits. Term of Approval is from 03/04/2024 to 03/03/2025. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)™ toward the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. When applying for the AMA PRA, Prescribed credit earned must be reported as Prescribed, not as Category 1.

Nurses can receive 6.0 contact hour approved by an Approved Approver Unit regulated by rules and regulations outlined by the Ohio Board of Nursing (OBN). Nurses should always check with the state nursing board where they practice to ensure the OBN contact hours are accepted for continuing education credit.
